Red Dress Party.

The Novice Project of Sister Gin Tervention

Red… FOR FIlth!

Why a Red Dress you ask? Historically, Red Dress events have been thrown as a charity fundraiser for LGBTQ+ causes and HIV/AIDS awareness. That makes it a perfect vessel for Sister Gin, who is also a walking charity fundraiser for LGBTQ+ causes and HIV/AIDS awareness. It’s a fit more perfect than a tailored suit.

What Ha-ha-happened Was… Throwing a party is one thing. Getting people to attend is another entirely. Sister Gin did her diligence and reached out across the state of Texas, inviting anyone and everyone; and boy did they not let her down. Sisters from all 4 convents in Texas made the pilgrimage alongside a slew of scantily draped Houstonians, marking the first time all of us had been represented in the same room.

With a silent auction, entrance donations, and Jell-O shots around back, we pulled together over $2,500 for PWA (People with AIDS) Holiday Charities, and started a new Houston tradition.
